On-line seminarApplication of ecosystem-based management for aquatic ecosystems to halt and reverse the trend of declining biodiversity |
Dear European water managers,
As Peer-to-Peer secretariat, the International Office for Water invites you to participate in a 2-hour on-line seminar on Thursday 27 June, at 10 am C.E.T.
Both the Water Framework Directive and Marine Strategy Framework Directive require coordination and cooperation between different policy areas spanning freshwater, coastal and marine ecosystems, in addition to innovative business solutions and public-private engagement. This webinar will show examples how social-ecological analysis of ecosystem services can support the implementation of measures under the WFD.
This on-line seminar is aimed at all competent authorities and experts involved in the implementation of the Water Framework Directive (WFD) and Floods Directive (FD). Free-of-charge and only requiring internet access, it is an occasion for participants to put their questions to the presenters.
If you are interested but cannot attend this webinar, let us know and we will give you access to a video.
You are very welcome to forward this invitation to potentially interested colleagues.
